Hi, I’m Em Pescott,

 

Career Advancement Coach, Accredited Life Styles Inventory™ Practitioner, Accredited Hogan Personality Assessments Practitioner, mum of 2 small humans

It might surprise you, but I wasn’t a natural leader when I embarked on my corporate career.

Until my mid-30s, I had no idea what I wanted from my career and had no “formal” qualifications to be proud of. I went from job to job without ever feeling excited.

The only thing I knew was that I avoided answering the question: “So, what do you do for a living?” each and every time even though I had achieved a LOT.

I eventually landed a job as an Executive Assistant.

That’s when things started to shift for me.

All of a sudden, I got to work with some amazing leaders who inspired me.

And I gave myself permission to do and BE more (and got myself “proper” qualifications in HR and Communications).

It wasn’t long before I saw promotion after promotion.

But not through my qualifications!

It was my mindset that changed. I started thinking, feeling and operating like a leader.

All of a sudden I wasn’t reactive, waiting for the right opportunities to pop up…

…I created them instead.

I knew what I wanted.

I had the right conversations.

I took specific action.

And I had the confidence to back myself.

Gradually, more and more people around me came to me for career advice. So in 2017, I started Promotable You.
