Last week we asked you to share your funny Christmas Party stories and my gosh, we had a few cringy ones!
Check out these random stories:
“At last years Christmas party we decided to do secret Santa. My manager bought the Finance Manager a “Accounting for Dummies” book which he thought was hilarious. Unfortunately, she didn’t see the humorous side at all and ended up berating him in front of everyone and storming out of the tea room” Not sure what nerve he hit but it wasn’t good. They didn’t talk for nearly 3 weeks afterwards, even after he profusely apologised! Talk about awkward”.
“I work in the pork industry… which might sound boring, but this one year we decided to celebrate xmas with a dress up pig theme! It started tame, like we put Christmas hats and pigs noses and tails on ourselves. It slowly, but surely escalated. One of the team was so in character she ran full tilt through a dozen people and knocked several people over. 3 colleagues thought they would act like pigs (not too big a challenge for these guys) but it meant they pretended to eat out of the trough and roll in the mud… “
“At one Christmas party I learnt more about a colleague of mine that I really didn’t want to know - it’s been playing on my mind ever since. He doesn’t normally drink much, keeps to himself, so I didn’t really know much about him. After a few drinks he opened up and told me about a hobby he has. I thought he was going to say “swinging” by the way he was talking, but not. He collects rubber ducks. Yep, you heard correctly, rubber ducks. And he has weird rules for his hobby. He’s not allowed to order them online. They have to be given to him or he has to find them in physical stores. Apparently has over 300 of the little suckers”.
