It's Getting Worse...

burn out career dream job workshop women work Jan 24, 2024

According to a Women in the Workplace study sponsored by LeanIn.Org and McKinsey & Company, women are leaving their jobs at the highest rate in years, all in search of better opportunities that fit their whole life priorities

Why?

Women are dealing with more financial and personal stress than ever, and are Forbes.com has written about the top five:

  1. Unequal Pay
  2. Stress and burnout
  3. Harassment and micromanagement
  4. Lack of flexibility
  5. Limited advancement opportunities

Ticking off just one of these categories is rough enough, but the women who have been coming to me lately are  dealing with two, three and sometimes, all five!

What’s your score?

A Deloitte report, Women @ Work 2022: A Global Outlook states that women’s burnout is so severe that 53% of respondents say their stress levels are higher than a year ago, with almost half feeling exhausted.

Well, when you’re dealing with Forbes top 5 above, no wonder!

That is not a happy, fulfilled life. That is a 9 to 5 prison sentence.

There are only three things you can do to solve for this:

  1. Implement Mindset Monday and try to turn a lemon into lemonade by having more fun (a temporary fix possibly).
  2. Stand up for yourself and address each of these head on (we can help you).
  3. Change jobs and find something you really love.

What I don't want you to do under any circumstance is take no action and remain stuck in your job.

Yuk!

You’re better than that and deserve more.

If you are thinking of changing jobs, there are many ways to start the process.  And one super easy peasy way is coming to my upcoming live Dream Job Workshop.

I’ll be taking you through:

  • How to find a job that you love, not one that will be worse
  • The best way to sell yourself, that I learnt from incredible executives
  • What you should avoid that often leads people to not getting call-backs
